By accessing or using Sandy Pup, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Use of the service
Sandy Pup provides information about dog-friendly beaches for personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to misuse the service, scrape its data, or attempt to disrupt its operation.
Accuracy of information
Beach conditions, dog policies, and amenity information are provided as-is and may be outdated or incomplete. Always verify rules with posted signage and local authorities before visiting. Sandy Pup is not responsible for decisions made based on information displayed in the app.
Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.
Your reviews & photos
When you submit a review, rating, or photo, you keep ownership of it, but you grant Sandy Pup a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, and reproduce that content within the service, alongside your display name. Approved reviews and photos are publicly visible to all visitors.
You confirm that anything you submit is your own work (or that you have permission to share it) and doesn't infringe anyone else's rights, reveal private information about others, or contain unlawful, hateful, or deliberately misleading content. All submissions are moderated before publication, and we may remove any content at any time at our discretion.
You can request removal of your own content at any time by .
Copyright complaints
If you believe content on Sandy Pup infringes your copyright, identifying the work, the infringing material and its location in the app, and your contact information. We review takedown requests promptly and remove infringing content.
Intellectual property
The Sandy Pup name, logo, and original content are our property. This includes original photography and 360° imagery captured by Sandy Pup, which may not be reproduced or redistributed without our permission. Map data is sourced from OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL 1.0), the California Coastal Commission, the Oregon Coastal Management Program, the Washington State Department of Ecology, the Texas General Land Office, the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, and the Maine Coastal Program. Third-party attributions are displayed within the app as required.
Portions of Sandy Pup's beach database are derived from OpenStreetMap data and are available under the Open Database License 1.0 — to request a copy of the OSM-derived data.
Limitation of liability
Sandy Pup is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Sandy Pup after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
